The HL2-A HelmetLight is a vertically articulating, white and infrared helmet light precision-designed exclusively for Gentex Corporation’s Next Generation Headborne System (NGHBS) helmet. The NGHBS RAILINK® system provides power to the HL2-A for a simplistic and snag-free design. The HL2-A attaches to the right or left side of the NGHBS helmet via the power connectors on the rails. A quick tap activates the infrared illuminator on the pressure pad for Low output (5mW) and a second short press activates High output (100mW). White light activation is accomplished by a long press of greater than 0.6 seconds for Low output (10 lumens) and a second press within three seconds for High output (355 lumens). The bezel swivels 90° above the horizon and 25° below for a total of 115° of vertical articulation explicitly designed for airborne, military free-fall, and ground tactical operations. There is no finer, more durable, or more reliable helmet light available for the NGHBS.
