Wow what a powerhouse. I have and still own a multitude of surefire products from the early incandescent lights to L- Lummamax series and the Saint Headlamp I just updated to a Fury and I can day hands down that this illumination tool is the best I own. The quality and value in the product is bar none. The fact that on a long shift on the ambulance I can slip in a pair of 123 and get back in servive while I recharge the 18650 is a huge plus for rescue work. The beam intensity rivals the spot light on my assigned ambulance. In a pocket sized package simplicity of operation one click and boom there they are all the lumens ready to work. In my job a dependable professional light is not just a need it is an absolute necessity for safety and providing care to my patients as well as defending me my Partner and patient I would highly recommend this product for any EMS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OR ANYONE THAT A SUOER BRIGHT LONG REACHING FLEXIBLE PLATFORM IS ESSENTIAL FOR YOUR JOB the only thing I would like surefire to add is the ability for a lanyard and or pocket clip and to develop a duty holster that would accommodate the light and a spare 18650 battery or a pair of 123 batteries and poof perfect system. Great product from a great team keep up the awesome work SUREFIRE.

This is one of my absolute favorite SF lights. It's a little bigger than a typical Surefire light, but it's for good reason. Using the one 18650 is a great idea, and even better when you have a choice to throw in a couple of A123 if you don't have an 18650. It is very bight and I get compliments all the time about this one. Everyone wants to know what this FURY-DFT is. It doesn't create as much heat as I thought it would. Surefire really thought this one through. It can fit very tight in some of the older Surefire holster like the V21 but I would recommend using something else. The single output is great for defensive tactics, since throwing out a super bright light every time is what you want. You don't want to accidentally turn on a lower setting when you need a high setting. This light makes defending yourself easier, and if the bight light isn't enough then use the light itself as a defensive tool since it made with high grade materials and is definitely durable

  • Great flashlight BUT.......

The only negative is the oversized tail cap that makes holstering very hard.
