Description

XC1-B
XC1-B 084871326988

SureFire’s smallest and lightest weight WeaponLight has been upgraded to deliver more output and feature even more ergonomic switching. The new XC1-B was specially developed to equip compact railed handguns with a source of tactical white light, essential for concealed-carry and other applications. A special multi-faceted reflector shapes the high-performance, recoil-proof LED’s light into our wide, smooth MaxVision Beam™, which is ideal for closer-range identification of threats and situational awareness because this useful beam is also optimized for human vision.

The XC1-B’s robust but compact body is constructed of lightweight, strong aerospace aluminum hard anodized with a durable Mil-Spec finish, making the XC1-B plenty rugged enough for everyday carry. Measuring less than 2.5 inches long and weighing in at under two ounces, the rechargeable AAApowered XC1-B won’t weigh down a handgun, either.

Ambidextrous switching provides both momentary- and constant-on activation options. Momentary-on activation is achieved by placing your support hand thumb on top of either of the two rear downward-activated switches and pushing down. The XC1-B will stay in momentary mode for as long as either toggle switch is depressed and held in the on position beyond a fraction of a second. Constant-on activation is achieved by quickly tapping either one of the momentary switches. To turn off the constant on mode, quickly touch and release either toggle switch. It can also be achieved by using your support hand to push the center crossbar switch from left to right.

Features
  • Lightweight and ultra-compact; ideal for concealed-carry use
  • Securely attaches to most Universal-rail-equipped handguns
  • High-performance LED generates 300 lumens of tactical-level light
  • Improved constant-on activation by tapping either one of the momentary switches. To turn off, simply tap either one of the momentary switches again
  • Integrated ambidextrous momentary- and constant-on switching
  • High-strength aerospace aluminum body is hard anodized with a Mil-Spec finish for extreme durability
  • Rechargeable AAA NiMH battery (included); accessed from front-facing battery compartment
  • Gasket sealed; weatherproof

Great light, EDS

I like this light for several reasons.
1. It's small and produces the right amount of light. Other Surefire lights are like spotlights in the room....way too bright!!
2. It uses a commonly available battery, AAA.
3. It's size gives you NO EXCUSE to not carry a ligth on the pistol you are carrying, hopefully everyday.
4. I'm former MIL and I only trust Surefire lights, when it comes down to it.

Weapon light

This is a great light! Fits perfectly with Glock handguns. Will fit other handguns. Just remember a Glock rail is different than a 1913 rail on 'other' weapons. Light and easy of use makes this one special, battery is replaced with out removing light from weapon. Excellent !

Excellent in every way, except the switch.

This light is amazing and there's no longer a reason to carry a pistol without a mounted light. On-duty, off-duty, concealed, or otherwise. This light is small, does not extend past the muzzle of a Glock 19, and is bright for its size. It is certainly adequate to clear a house with. The one improvement that can be made is to use a similar switch to the X300. This switch design will not allow a right-handed shooter to keep it toggled on with just one hand. Also, the momentary switch must be pushed down, it won't work in any other direction.

1 Minor Change From Perfection

The only change I would like to see is to make the momentary switch also be able to activate a constant on for the light other than that I'm very impressed with the product.

XC1-A

This is compact and light. Exactly what I was looking for. Now just need the holster manufactures to get their holster molds to accommodate this light. Does not fit the H&K 45C Tactical.

Good idea, but does not last at all

XC1 light is unique as it provides good 200 lumens light in a red-dot form factor. It is, probably, the first light which can be used for every day carry.

Overall, it fits most handguns perfectly (I've tried it on P226, Glock 21, Glock 19). The momentary switch is conveniently located and easy to press for both, left and right handed shooters. I personally found that for me XC1 is easier and nicer to handle than XC300.

There are one minor disadvantage from my point of view. The light has no on/off switch which would be quite useful for bag/pocket carry. However, after a month of bag carry of my G21 with the light attached I didn't experience any problems with that.

Then... well, the light was attached to my carry/competition gun so... I am shooting this gun at least 100 rounds weekly. After couple of times I started spotting that light does not turns on always. Then it stopped working after 50-100 rounds in a row and require battery to be removed/inserted back to make it working.

Finally, it stop work at all.

Yes, I've checked battery and tried the other one. And yes, I've checked the whole list from FAQ page. Nothing helps.

Now here comes what is bad about surefire.

I made a few attempts to call customer service. I spend HOURS waiting "for the next representative available" absolutely with no success.

I left request for call back and, again, nobody called me back.

There is no email option to contact as well (unless you leave outside USA).

I understand that dealing with the problems is not something pleasant to do, but for the price at least SOME level of support and handling lemons has to be expected.

Compact and Ergonomic

Running the X200 and 300 handgun lights, I always had to run them with a DG switch activating the built in switch would compromise my grip and slowed down my shots. With the XC1 I am finding I can activate the light without compromising my grip or sight picture. The weight is negligible and it can be run comfortably IWB. Pretty much the best handgun weapon light I have come across to date.

Ticks all the right boxes

My reasons for never before owning a weaponlight are two fold; SF weapon lights of the past were larger than I wanted, and small lights of inferior quality made by others were not something I would bet my life on. Those are the questions, the XC1 is the answer. I've been a longtime SF customer since way back in '07 with my L4, and never having been let down is huge for me and the reason I stand by SF. This light pretty much ticks all the boxes for me. Small, light, bright and built to SF quality. The similar switch type passed down from the larger X series is fantastic, my left support hand thumb rests naturally and momentary activation is intuitive. Also important to me are features, or lack thereof. Single output, no silly strobe mode or any other nonsense to get between you and light. The wide smooth 200 lumen beam is perfect for indoors, and close to medium ranges outdoors. Bottom line, this light rocks and if you're on the fence I suggest you pull that proverbial trigger. When it arrives mount it up, wait for dark then pull a real trigger and thank me! Oh, SF stock photos show this mounted to a G19, mine is mounted to an XDm, fit is excellent.

Really?!

$300?! Are you guy serious?! I was really looking forward to purchase this light thinking it was going to be reasonably priced. Guess I was wrong.
