Description

SIDEKICK
SIDEKICK-A 084871325417

This ultra-compact, powerful LED illuminator was created so it could be carried and used by everyone. The rechargeable Sidekick was designed to attach to keys so it’s always available and, most importantly, ready for everyday use and emergencies. This polymer-bodied light features three levels of output that will provide security and peace of mind, no matter what. On high and operated just like a key FOB, its wide, smooth 300-lumen MaxVision Beam™ illuminates all dark areas at night, providing peace-of-mind navigation with a useful range well past 50 meters. Its medium- and low-output settings, 60 and 5 lumens respectively, offer much more runtime and more than enough light for reading, close-up work, or even navigating outdoors while preserving dark-adapted vision.

Sidekick is ideal for everyone, even children, keeping in mind that the light output from a typical smartphone doesn’t offer one percent of the light output and it drains all-important smartphone battery power. This tiny, lightweight light, which can also be carried in a pocket or purse, is easily rechargeable via its micro-USB port using a vehicle or wall charger. Protect yourself and your family—own the one and only Sidekick—something everyone should have at their disposal.

Features
  • High-performance LED and special faceted reflector produce broad, smooth MaxVision Beam™ optimized for the human eye
  • Easy click-type switch permits access to all 3 output levels with repeated presses
  • Micro-USB charging port permits simple recharging of integral Li-ion battery
  • Compact, lightweight polymer body is weather resistant; features split ring for easy attachment to keys or carabiner clips
  • Always-accessible light provides countless utility uses, including emergency preparedness
  • Backed by SureFire’s No-Hassle One-Year Guarantee
  • Recoil MAG | Off Grid Top Pick

Only One Suggestion

Read all the great reviews, they are spot on. My one suggestion is to beef up the attachment where the key ring/pocket clip is attached. I have four of these lights and two have snapped making it impossible to attach to anything. One snapped in my pocket on a key ring and the other while clipped to my pocket with the clip attachment. Annoying, but it is a great light otherwise. I like it so much, I still give it a really good rating.

Great EDC for the Price

Bought this recently and love it. I purchased the spring clip for it and carried it in my pocket for a few days. It was very handy that way because it was quick to grab and your thumb naturally ended up on the button so you could basically have it on as you pulled it out. After a few days, I tried it on my key chain and that is what I have stuck with simply because I carry my phone in the same front pocket and didn't like reaching past it. However, now it is in my other front pocket and I have to reach past a pocket knife for it. It really is perfect for EDC, you just have to figure out what works best for your situation. My keys are always with me and I don't have any fobs for my vehicles on it, so this works in that situation since this is roughly the size of a key fob. I would highly recommend either carry option and for the new price, you can't go wrong.

One thing to note is that it doesn't flash constantly when you charge it like they used to. The manual said it would, so I thought something was wrong, but tech support told me they changed that because it was annoying to many people to have it flashing at night while charging. Now it flashes 5 times then quits. There is no indication that it is done charging, but if you unplug it, then plug it in, it will flash a couple of times, then turn solid before going off again, so you know it is really done charging.

Excellent Compact Light

Excellent output for a compact flashlight that can be attached to your keys and fit in your pocket. Great for everyday use. Just wish it wasn't as bulky and there was a dust cover for the charging outlet. But overall excellent flashlight.

Very handy - Small and bright

I like the fact that it is a small rechargeable flashlight. Perfect handy gift for friends and family. It would be great if SF can also manufacture 1 AA flashlight which I think would be super popular among flashlight collectors worldwide.

Sidekick edc , what could have been

Had this for long time now its part of my EDC keychain goes everywhere with me and yes I'm attached to it. 1). it doesn't have a lifetime warranty only 1 year. 2), it stopped working on me I sent back and was given a replacement and a year later its flickering not holding a true beam of light , 3) it should have a dustcap for the charging port. That being said I would still recommend and give it 5 stars but . If the one board lithium battery keeps from being able to warranty for lifetime then make it serviceable replaceable put a dustup on the port, I honestly want the best EDC keychain light money can buy and I think its right there with two design flaws svc batt/dustcap . address those issues and we have a True bulletproof Winner , Sidekick is the absolute best keychain light on the market right now and I don't think it gets enough credit, i use this item every single day and on sunday so please get the feedback to someone that can make that improvment , Kudos Surefire Bravo!!!

Great unobtrusive light

Had mine now for several months and still does not need to be charged. Super useful in so many situations. Used it in dark theater to locate correct seat and of course to find keyway when entering a dark exterior door. A little pricey but so far seems well worth it.

Sidekick flashlights

I purchased two Sidekick flashlights at the 2016 Louisville NRA convention. My wife and I keep them on our key chains and use them all the time. It is amazing how often you can use a flashlight when it is constantly at hand. They are very easy to recharge so they are at full charge almost all the time.
