P2X Review

Surefire P2X Dual Output Review

There is something to be said about spending nearly $150.00 for a flashlight, but when it comes down to why many of us are willing to spend this much, it all makes a lot of sense. Yes, there are lights out there that cost considerably less and have more output lumens, but when it comes down to it there is a sense of security knowing that you have a light that will not fail you. I take my dog out for walks after work, and often times the sun is setting or has already set by the time we are about midway through our walk.

Having the dual output feature is a must for someone like myself that needs a far reaching output as well as a low setting for close proximity and extended battery life. The P2X does exactly that. At 600 lumens, I am able to see far out across fields where the nighttime wildlife may be which gives me the opportunity to avoid any encounter as well as to make a bold statement of my presence. The low output gives me the right amount of light to illuminate those dark close-in areas that a high output would cause a blinding reflection that would compromise night adjusted vision.

Lastly, owning a Surefire gives me the security of knowing that in the unlikely event of a failure, Surefire will stand behind their products 100%. I can absolutely vouch for that. So far, my P2X has worked flawlessly.

In conclusion, I have added a link to show what I prefer to avoid during my evening walks with my beloved Collie Audrey.

Sincerely,

B. Kanal

Description

P2XC-A
P2XC-A 084871323925

The P2X Fury uses a high-efficiency, virtually failure-proof LED to deliver your choice of either 15 or 600 lumens of perfectly focused light, the latter qualifying the Fury as a pocket-sized searchlight. The 15-lumen level is excellent for general work at close-to-medium distances, and also lets you greatly extend the runtime per set of batteries, a valuable option when you're miles from civilization. At either setting the high-strength polymer micro-textured reflector delivers a smooth, comparatively wide beam with a brighter central area and generous peripheral light. The Fury is activated with a click-type tailcap switch: press for momentary-on low, press further to click constant-on low; return to off and press or click on again within two seconds for high. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is knurled for a comfortable, secure grip and is hard anodized to military specifications for extreme resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion.
