BENEFITS OVERVIEW | PAID TIME OFF




SureFire Offers Paid Time Off


The Paid Time Off (PTO) policy for regular full-time employees may be used for vacation, illness, injury, or to attend to personal business.

Upon eligibility, employees accrue up to three weeks of PTO each year (15 work days, or 120 work hours). The biweekly accrual rate is 4.62 hours.

After 5 years of service, employees accrue up to four weeks of PTO each year (20 work days, or 160 work hours). The biweekly accrual rate is 6.15 hours.

After 10 years of service, employees accrue up to five weeks of PTO each year (25 work days, or 200 work hours). The biweekly accrual rate is 7.69 hours.

PTO does not accrue during any unpaid leave, or while any employee is on active military service.

In the event that available PTO is not used by the end of the benefit year, employees may carry unused time forward into the next benefit year. If the total amount of accrued PTO time reaches a “cap” equal to two times the annual PTO accrual schedule, further PTO accrual will cease until such time as the balance is reduced. Employees may reduce PTO balances by scheduling and taking vacation, or by cashing-out PTO.

PTO Cash-Out Plan
In order to cash-out PTO, an employee must have accrued enough PTO to leave a minimum balance of 40 hours after cash-out. A cash-out may be requested one time each half of the year.
