- Very Surprised
I really love this product, but was very, VERY surprised to see it in
Sportsmans Guide catalog for much less money. Same for sixty round. Just telling it like it is.

Best 100 round magazine on the market. Why but a Volkswagon, when you can have a Ferrari. I would still buy this magazine, but I would buy from a commercial vendor. I payed $199.00 to Surefire, when I later discovered that I could have purchased this magazine from my local firearms dealer for $169.00. This is a quality and reliable product, and I would refer this product to shooters that appreciate the best.

- Reliable Performer Finally arrives
Many have tried to stretch the capacity of the typical 30 round M4/M16 AR style rifle by making drums or curling out the feeders to the side. It took a serious company with the engineering capability and interest in performance over market demands like Surefire to take the time to create a true hi-capacity 5.56 magazine that performs as well or better than the best PMags and other 30 round magazines that the rifle was made to accept.
First with the 60 round version and now with the 100 round version, Surefire worked with the design of the original Colt on which every AR variation is based and put together a magazine that works with the rifle, the way the rifle was intended to operate. I'm no engineer, but it strikes me that the feeder spring system and the follower took time to perfect for first double and now more than triple capacity of the original magazines, but in the same design and operating system as the best 30 magazines. It was time well spent by Surefire and now their magazines are a lot of quality for the price, particularly given the reliability and performance that you get in return. Great job, SureFire! It was worth the wait!

The SureFire high-capacity magazine for 5.56x45 mm (.223 Remington) ammunition, also available in a 60-round version, is compatible with M4/M16/AR-15 variants and other firearms that accept standard STANAG 4179 magazines. Constructed from Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum, they feed smoothly and reliably due to optimal geometry, non-binding coil springs, and ingenious nesting polymer followers. The long-lasting springs are cadmium coated for low friction and excellent corrosion resistance. Magazines require no lubricants and can be easily disassembled without tools for cleaning.
SureFire High-Capacity magazines provide distinct tactical advantages: increased initial firepower in ambush situations; fewer reloads overall, which means less downtime and target distraction in a firefight; fast and easy magazine insertion, even with a closed bolt; less bulk compared to drum mags, enabling a normal weapon grip.
