- FDE X300 Ultra Handgun Light
As with all Surefire products, Its top of the line in quality, durability and reliability. It is super bright and goes on/off with ease, even with gloves. I have had several weapon lights from several manufacturers, by far this is the best. It may be a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. For the professional who must count on his equipment, Surefire is there.

- Awesome weapon light!
I've owned one since the Ultra model came out and just got a second one. I use them in my clubs low light competitions and for HD.
Every low light match has someone's cheap light falling off, flickering, shutting down or just flat out quitting. Not the X300!
Until SF comes out with the 1000 lumen version this is the only one to get.

- Best Weapon Mount Flashlight Money Can Buy.
Earlier this month I received my Surefire X300 Ultra 500 Lumens Flashlight of my Glock 17 Gen 3. All I can say is that I will most definitely be buying from Surefire again in the future. I expected the best from Surefire and I got ONLY the best from Surefire. The flashlight has a very solid top quality construction and the 500 Lumen output is intensely blinding (tested the light in the dark NOT mounted on my Glock). The only thing I would say that's some what of a con but is also a pro is FOR ME, other people may differ, is how snug the flashlight is when mounting it. I consider myself to be an average strength type of guy and mounting the flashlight due to the very tight fit was challenging. However, once it was mounted there was absolutely no play/wiggling of the flashlight which is awesome! All in all, I will most definitely buy another Surefire product in the future for my next handgun. $300 is a kind of a deep dive, but it's WORTH every single penny. Thanks a lot Surefire!

|Max Output -- White Light||500||.0||lumens|
The powerful and versatile SureFire X300 Ultra WeaponLight for handguns and long guns features a high-performance LED that generates 500 lumens of stunning white light focused by a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens to produce a tight beam with extended reach and significant surround light for peripheral vision. The virtually indestructible and highly efficient LED generates tactical-level light—more than enough to overwhelm an aggressor's dark-adapted vision—for 1.5 hours per set of batteries.
Activating the X300 Ultra is done via ambidextrous switching located at the rear of body, providing one-finger control — press the switch on either side for momentary-on activation, flip up or down for constant-on activation. Optional DG grip switches (for pistols) and a pressure activated XT07 tape switch (for long guns) permit the X300 Ultra to be activated without altering your grip on your weapon.
The X300 Ultra can be attached to a pistol or a long gun since its Rail-Lock® system permits rapid attachment to and removal from either Universal or Picatinny rails. Its high-strength aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized for superior toughness and is O-ring and gasket sealed to make it weatherproof.
Available in Black (and Desert Tan in October 2014).
