- Ep3 sonic defenders
I bought the sonic defender earplugs about a year ago and they are holding up I've been very satisfied with the performance and the comfortability of the sonic defenders. I go shooting twice a month and they are going strong. I like the fact that you all most don't even know there in your ear but yet you never have to worry about them coming lose or falling out. I give these a A++

- Ear protection
Product looks good, fits ok but doesn't give me the protection that plain foam plugs provide. More effort to put in than foam plugs. For me in the shotgun sports, only limited use.

These little guys are great. I will never stick another foam plug in my ear again. I have odd shaped ear canals that normal ear plugs tend to slip out of after a while, especially if it's hot and I start to sweat. The flanges hold these puppies in dead to rights and its nice being able to hear someone talk without pulling the ear buds out.

- EP3's are essential kit
My sure fire EP3's are essential for any range trip, whether it be dove, quail or SBR's and pistols. They're a great supplement to muffs at an indoor range and provide great performance and confront at an attractive price.

Wore these to an indoor range & my eats rang for two days. Not effective is an understatement to say the least.

- SureFire Ear Pro Sonic Defenders
I have been using these plugs for over a year and they are fantastic. They are comfortable and do not irritate my ears. I use them in Power Plants with high noise levels at work and I also use them for hearing protection with my band. You can't see them when they are in your ears and they work great on stage. I can still hear normally but the cymbals and load surges get supressed. When I get home I can sleep without my ears ringing. They are also easy to maintain and clean.

- Best bang for buck
Dollar wise these are the best value for hearing protection. They are easy to wear, easy to hear with, and useful when you want to double up for big bore shooting. I recommend having some in every shooting bag.

EP3 Sonic Defenders protect your hearing without interfering with your ability to hear routine sounds or conversations. Their double-flanged-stem design fits most people and provides a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24dB. Sounds, at safe levels, are allowed to pass through into the ear canal, while potentially harmful noises (above 85dB) are reduced via a proprietary design that incorporates a special noise-reducing filter. EP3s include attached filter caps, which can be inserted for additional protection and blocking out lower-level noise, like that heard on a plane, where hearing ambient sounds or conversations isn't critical. Right/left color-coded Sonic Defenders are made from a soft but durable, hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and an extended product life (up to 6+ months, depending on usage and care). Their patented EarLock® retention rings lock the earplugs in place, while soft, adjustable double-flanged stems provide secure seals in the ear canals. A low-profile design means EP3s can be worn while wearing a helmet or mask, or while using a phone or headset. Available in clear, black, or orange.
Comfortable EP3 Sonic Defenders also serve as earpieces for SureFire™ Hearing Protection and other compatible radio communication systems* simply by removing the noise-reducing filter and attaching the earpiece to the system. NOTE: EP3 earpiece will not provide hearing protection if the noise-reducing filter is removed.
EP3s are available in small (S), medium (M), and large (L). Proper size is based on the dimensions of your ear's concha bowl. Size "medium" fits most people; however, to ensure the best possible fit, review the earpiece sizing chart below. For those with larger (in diameter) ear canals, the three-flange stem of our EP4 Sonic Defenders may provide a better fit than the EP3's two-flange stem.
For best fit, click on the small Sizing Chart image at left.
EP3 Sonic Defenders are sold as a single left/right set or in a box containing 25 sets. Each set is packaged in a convenient carry case and includes a polymer lanyard.
