Cruel & Unusual Punishment
No ordinary flashlight should be expected to endure this kind of abuse. And SureFire is certainly no ordinary flashlight.
| Defender Survives With Just a Scratch |
This New Year, with twins on the way, I resolved to get into better shape. Each morning or evening I've tried to take the dog for a walk or jog and I always have my SureFire E2D Defender® on me. When I hear a car approaching, I'll give a quick blast of my SureFire as an alert that I'm there, especially handy in the early or late hours. One morning I dropped the E2D as I gave my alert flash and switched the dog's leash from one hand to another. The cars passed by so closely to me that the light was run over... twice.
I reached down, confident that the glass would be destroyed and the frame squashed. Happily, I found that, with the exception of some cosmetic scratches and the belt clip being broken, my E2D was fine and still functioned great. The only bad part of this story is that the damage isn't substantial enough to warrant an upgrade to the new 200-lumen E2DL. So says my wife, anyway.
