- great flashlight
I have one of these myself and on a recent night hunt my son drove up on a rattlesnake crossing a dirt road. He stopped and watched the snake crawl into a bush. I was watching and immediately went to the vehicle. He had his pistol out and flashlight, but couldn't see. I said "Here, let me show you a flashlight!" He said, "Wow, what the hell kind of light is that!" He shot the snake and then asked me about the light. He said, is that one of your "Surefire's"? (I have 4) I said "Yea, you want one!" This one is his Christmas present. Great, great products.

- P2X Fury Defender
At 165.00 for a 5 inch flashlight you may be discouraged, but let me tell you this set up by far is extremely worth it. While this model does not have the 15 lumen output only the single earth scorching 500 lumens, it is intended to be a defensive light. You wont want to be fumbling with the tailcap when it is time to rumble. The batteries last surprisingly well; staying bright till the last drop. Its weather proof and bad to the bone in all conditions. The Strike Bezel stands ready to do its job and is quite a deterrent. This light can illuminate a path in the darkest forest that's sure to send all beast scattering while obliterating any fear you have of the dark. I have had mine for over a year, its still ready to disorient any would be foe.

The P2X Fury Defender packs an impressive 500 lumen blast of light into about six inches. I keep in the P2X Fury my nightstand for home defense purposes to temporarily blind an intruder with a 500-lumen shot of "lightening" to the eyeballs! I believe it will provide me with an advantage if I ever find myself in an HD situation.

- P2X -Compact & Robust
My P2X is a great light, compact and robust. The beam focus is perfect for me. As a part-time Deputy Marshal, and in my primary job as a Nursing Facility Administrator, having a bright, compact, dependable light is extremly important. The P2X fits the bill for me.

- Great multi-use light
This is a great all around light. It is small enough to carry in most clothing, can be worked single-handed and can serve as a quick self defense tool as well. The brightness of the LED is truly impressive and the strike bezel is painful enough to back almost anyone off. It is a little heavy for holding in your mouth when you need both hands and the brightness can be too much for certain uses. With that said, I have bought enough of these to make sure that each member of my family have one they can use in an emergency.

- Surefire PX2 Defender
I inspect and photograph foreclosed properties in the Metro Detroit area. As the power in most of these is cut off. I need a flashlight that is very durable, easy to use, and it needs to put out a lot of light. I have always been a fan of Surefire due to the quality and engineering and when I learned that the 500 lumen Fury was available, I snapped it up. This light is incredibly bright and the strike bezel gives me some comfort as means of last resort. In many cases the flash on the the camera does not properly highlight an area of concern and the Surefire fills the bill. My work takes me into some areas that are scary to say the least and this light along with my .45 ACP is the package that I need to do my work. Surefire lights are simply the best.
