SureFire Offers Blue Cross Pre-Tax Premium Plan
SureFire sponsors a “Cafeteria Plan” that allows employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for benefits. The benefits elected are nontaxable, and plan participants do not have to pay social security and income taxes on the pre-tax premiums. The following example demonstrates the difference in electing pay for health care and other benefits from pre-tax dollars.
