- Let there be light
I regularly lead wilderness safaris in Tanzania, east Africa, and depend upon my headlight and CR123 rechargeable batteries, I've upgraded both my charger and batteries now that I'm off for a 6 month guest-lecturer stint at a Tanzanian university, where there isn't reliable power. The Surefire equipment provides security and confidence. I'm also bringing a charger and Maximus headlight for my good friend, who leads trekking groups year-round. I know he'll be pleased.

- Batteries Good, Charger had a Capacitor explode
Batteries charge well and hold their energy for a decent amount of time.
the charger however over heated while empty
a transistor and capacitor both over heated and "popped" leaving only "magic smoke" behind
Sent email in but havent heard back from customer service yet
Probably just a random bad part with the charger though.

- Great charger and batteries
Recharger worked well and no heat buildup. Batts took 3.5 hours to charge and had charger working for15 hours straight and no heat...very impressed. Have noticed no real difference in light output or longevity...great gear. Used in my EB1 Backup with no problems. I will be purchasing another charger for vehicle use. I highly recommend these products. Thanks.

- Junk, do not buy.
Purchased a few sets of batteries and a charger. The batteries came charged and I used them until they were at 2.7 volts. I put a set in the charger over night and the battery charging on the left side was completely dead with 0.02 volts while the one on the right side was good with 3.2volts. Thinking i had a bad battery i tried charging the other set of batteries i had bought. Same thing occurred again. I attempted charging both dead batteries with the right side of the charger but neither of them would take a charge. I tried to contact surefire several times but received no response. I will be throwing the charger away and buying a different ( and better) brand charger to hopefully continue using the batteries I have that still work.

- Rechargeable CR123's
Being in Law Enforcement, I need to be able to count on my flashlight , so when this product became available I was immediately interested. I have only used it a couple times, but so far it has met with my expectations.

Like others I'm shocked at the retail price of CR123A batteries. Other rechargeables' don't work. These work great.

Do not use LFP 123A batteries with incandescent illumination tools. See Restrictions below.
Kit includes two LFP 123A lithium-phosphate rechargeable batteries and a combination wall (AC) and car (DC) charger with appropriate AC and DC cables. These batteries—which retain approximately 50% of their original capacity even after 500 charging cycles—will power SureFire illumination tools that use disposable 123A lithium batteries. The charger, which features a charge status indicator light, will charge two LFP 123A lithium-phosphate batteries simultaneously. The runtime of these LFP 123A batteries is approximately 50% less than the runtime provided by disposable 123A lithium batteries; maximum output levels are typically not affected. Use of these rechargeable batteries can result in a cost savings over time, depending on usage habits.
- Combination wall (AC) and car (DC) charger simultaneously recharges two lithium-phosphate batteries (included)
- AC/DC charger features indicator light
- Two LFP 123A lithium-phosphate rechargeable batteries provide hundreds of charging cycles
Warning: As with disposable 123A lithium batteries, do not mix rechargeable LFP 123A lithium-phosphate batteries with other types or brands of batteries, including but not limited to 123A lithium batteries. The included charger should not be used to recharge disposable 123A lithium batteries.
Rechargeable LFP 123A batteries are only to be used to power LED illumination products (built to use 123A lithium batteries) and NOT those featuring incandescent lamps. The initial elevated voltage of these rechargeable batteries, immediately after charging, may cause the filament contained within an incandescent lamp to break or “burn out."
