No Cure for SureFire Addiction
The phone rang at 11:59 p.m., a couple of hours after my wife and I had gone to bed. It was my daughter, calling to tell me she had hit a cow on a foggy patch of rural road on her way home from her boyfriend's house. Fortunately, she was unhurt, but she said that her car was a mess and the cow was lying in a deep ditch along the side of the road and couldn't get up. We woke our son up and told him what happened and that we were leaving for the accident scene. Of course, he wanted to come along, so I handed him my SureFire L2 LumaMax®, and I grabbed my new SureFire L5 LumaMax® that I just picked up from the store earlier that day.

By the time we reached the accident scene, a sheriff's deputy had already arrived. While he made his inspection and completed his report, my son and I helped him by providing light where he needed it and by directing traffic around my daughter's car, which was still blocking the eastbound lane. The deputy was using one of those large, multi-D-cell flashlights, and the feeble light it put out literally disappeared in the beam of our SureFires. We were able to light up the accident scene on the pitch-black country road and warn oncoming cars of the hazard. Finally, after helping the tow truck driver get the wrecked car on the truck, we all headed safely back home to catch a few hours of sleep before the alarm clock woke us up for work.

My wife has accused me of being a SureFire junkie because I own seven of them, not including the E2E I bought for her to carry in her purse. But the brilliant white beams of light they provided on that dark road that night proved to me they are worth every penny I paid for them. Now I've just got to figure out how to convince her I need another bigger and brighter SureFire.

Thanks, SureFire. Keep up the good work.
