Florentine Stalker Gets Knocked Down
I'm a young woman, and In the fall of 2007 I was studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Luckily for me, my father bought me the SureFire E2D Defender® flashlight, which is safer to carry than pepper spray and a lot less conspicuous.

When school closed at 10 p.m., the streets of Florence got very dark. I would walk home every night with my Defender in my right hand and my books in my left. One night, I was walking home and noticed a creaking sound coming from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder and noticed a man riding his bike very slowly, following me, with his eyes focused directly on my back. I hoped he would go away before I reached the street I lived on, but he didn't. So when I realized he was not going to stop tailing me, I spun around, yelled, and shined the SureFire directly in his eyes. He fell off of his bike, completely disoriented, then picked it up and ran away.

I continued my walk home safely and never had another problem on the streets of Florence. But I was always prepared just in case.
