Good Thing I Had My SureFire
Something tells you it's a good idea to take it along. Read how having a SureFire helped save the day for others who listened to their guts.
| Firefighter Frees Family |
I was driving along a dark scenic road in upstate New York when I saw a car that had flipped over in an accident. My firefighter training instantly kicked in, and I grabbed my SureFire L5 and my extrication gloves. There were three patients and an infant in the car, and I quickly made sure there were no current dangers and went to work.
I had to break out the rear window to get to the patients. I went for the infant and teenager who were in the car, and I put them both in my car. I then had to get to the passenger in the front seat, so I broke out the window and used my knife to cut her seatbelt. She didn't have any life-threatening injuries, but she did have a laceration to her head, so before getting to the driver I had to put some gauze on her head. After assisting her, I went to work on getting the driver out, but, although he did not have any life-threatening injuries, the "jaws of life" were required to get him out.
When the fire department arrived on scene, they were amazed at how bright my L5 was; the only things brighter were the flood lights from their 2,000-watt generators. They were amazed and all wanted one, so I told them to visit your website.
