A Matter of Life, Thanks to SureFire
Most of us have been in emergency situations that were a matter of life or death. Read how SureFire helped tip the balance in these exciting tales.
| Down but Not Out in Vegas |
I'm a bellman at a Las Vegas casino on "the Strip." One night, while working the graveyard shift, the power went out and the generators didn't kick in-and power wasn't restored for five hours. Along with all the other chaos of the power being out that night, a little boy, aged four, wandered off from his parents and was missing. I always carry my SureFire 6P® with me, and, boy, was I glad I had it that night.
Along with security personnel, who used cheap flashlights, and a few other employees, we scoured the hotel and checked all 4,400 rooms for the missing boy, but with no luck. Hours passed, and we started looking in vents. One security officer shined his Maglite into a floor vent and couldn't see anything, so I shined my 6P into the same vent and saw two little eyes reflecting back at me. The boy was passed out, due to lack of oxygen, and he was stuck in the vent. We were able to get him out and save him, but if it hadn't been for my 6P, we never would've even seen him.
Thanks, SureFire, for saving a life. I think most of the security officers at the casino switched over to SureFires that day.
