My scout troop and I were on a trip in Canada, when a friend of mine and I—both of us afraid of the dark—were walking down an overgrown path with my E2D Defender®. Suddenly, we came upon a wolf. I immediately shined the light in its eyes. It stood there, staring back for several seconds, until it realized that 65 lumens to the retina hurts.
Without my E2D, I'm not sure what would have happened next.
