- A better Defender
I have owned a defender series in the past. Great light. This model has a more effective Strike Bezel that feels like it will get someone attention if I ever had to use it. The light is brighter also. The 6PK paid for itself very quickly, I found a expensive ring under my bed that I lost two years ago. Thanks.

- Another great light
This is the second of these I've recently bought. This ones for my wife. She really liked mine a lot...I could see where this was going. Just ordered the recharger and batteries, so we can both use these a lot more and no worries about burning up batteries. Her G2X Pro is now in Jeeps console as a spare and my EB1 Backup is now hers, too. It's ok since my new Backup is due in tomorrow. The woman is high maintenance...but what the heck...since she has my back, she is worth it. Great light, Surefire. Thanks, Randy

- 6PX Defender
These most powerful flashlight I own. Got it at Walmart for $95. Worth every cent. Click cap is a plus. With light held in hammer fist at shoulder level, my personal and professional experience has been that this gives me wiggle room. Having fought for my life with bare hands, blades, and bullets, I have faith in Surefire gear. They get the job done. I hope to not get in any more scrapes...having said that, I will do what is necessary to protect me and mine. My Surefires give me cause to be confident. You do good work and many of us are grateful, including my wife. P.S. Are there 12 step programs for light junkies? Thanks!

- 6px Defender
This flashlight is as a flashlight, but if you wish to carry it on you hip It can get uncomfortable because of the face it has around the lens. Even though it is made to strike someone it isn't worth having in a holster because every time you sit down it can scrape you pretty bad. If you plan to carry in a purse or just to have at home this is a perfect buy. Its quick and simple with no features like strobe that ot can get stuck on.

- Not bad
Definitely a solid light, well made and bright. But I didn't like the feel of the tailcap switch also a bit heavy. Ended up switching over to a Strion which is an outstanding light. Depends on what you plan on using it for I guess and personal opinion.

- Good light
My employer has a strict no-weapons policy at work; however, my duties involve working in dark areas and dealing with intoxicated and sometimes high individuals. I picked this light up because my surefire 6P served me well over my years in the military and this one provided me with a loophole to the weapons policy since it is technically a flashlight. The output of the light is awesome compared to my 60 lumen 6P and the strike bezel looks and feels like it can do a number on an unprotected attacker. My only complaint is the strike bezel has "eaten" or sawed a few holes in my pockets over the months.

This is a great product. Very bright, and simple to use, it is either on of off. In tense situations I don't want flashing or different color lights I just want a blinding light at the push of one button. The SureFire 6PX defender fits the bill perfectly. It is very sturdy and well made, very happy with my purchase.

NEW LOW PRICE
The powerful yet compact 6PX Defender is identical to our 6PX Tactical except for two features: one is the crenellated Strike Bezel® that can be useful in emergency situations, and the other is a click-type tailcap switchpress for momentary-on, press further to click constant-on, click again for off. Utilizing a high-efficiency LED that's virtually immune to failure, the 6PX Defender provides simplicity of operation and brilliant light focused by a micro-textured reflector that creates a wide 320-lumen beam with generous peripheral illumination. The 6PX Defender's high-strength aerospace aluminum body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and is hard anodized to military specifications for extreme resistance to abrasion and corrosion. SureFire makes four other flashlights similar to the 6PX Defender that do not have a Strike Bezel. The first two are the previously mentioned aluminum-body 6PX Tactical and a polymer-body version of this light, the G2X Tactical, which both have tactical switching instead of the click switch. The second two are the dual-output 6PX Pro and a polymer-body version of this light, the G2X Pro, which both have click-type switching.
