I have 3 Surefire flashlights, and only use Surefire 123A batteries. They last longer on the shelf and in the flashlights. Big plus, MADE IN USA.

- My SWurefire bgatteries and E2L Outdoorsman....
I sure am glad to have found Surefire products. I tried flashlight after flashlight but none withstood the rigors of my outdoor lifestyle. I like to go camping where a good flashlight takes the mystery out of the darkness, and my Surefire E2L powered with Surefire lithium batteries never fails me. Not even once in all the several years now of my ownership. On low power, these Surefire batteries last seemingly forever, and are always at the ready for max power, when needed. The cost of these batteries is very reasonable. I recommend this equipment to anyone willing to pay the price for reliability and durability. My E2L, powered with Surefire lithium batteries is my constant companion.

- Battery Life
I own a SureFire 6P LED which is powered by two 123A 3 volt lithium batteries. The flashlight manual states that the shelf life of the battery is 10 years - a statistic that few battery owners use, acknowledge or care about when purchasing batteries. What battery users Do care about is the life of the battery when used, not stored. The manual states that the life of the battery is 11 hours. In other sections it sates that good, working light is available from the battery for over 11 hours.
I have purchased 24 batteries from SureFire but will purchase no more. I have found that under optimal conditions the battery will last no longer than 2 1/2 hours. Used in high drain situations the battery lasts no longer than 2 hours. Someone may feel that 2 hours is quite good for a dry cell battery - but not at the price that SureFire charges. The bizarre part here is the Huge discrepancy between the advertised life of a battery compared with the actual life of the battery. Missing by 500% is unusual for even the most aggressive advertisers.

- Great batteries
Purchased thes batteries and am quite happy with them. Just the ticket fo my backup light, they are lasting about 2 months each as I use my light every day for one thing or another. It also gave me enough stock to help a buddy out with some extras. If you use this style battery, you should get a box of these for yourself and stock up.
